Abiotic factors and biotic factors determines the survival rate, reproductive rate, and competition of organisms in an ecosystem.  The five levels of ecology are:individuals, population, community, ecosystem, and the biosphere. Taxis and kinesis are very important in biological experiments. Taxis is a moment toward or away from a stimulus in an experiment. A kinesis is a change in activity or turning rate in response to a stimulus. Both of them are affected by the stimulus in an experiment. Climate is considered a abiotic factor. Climate is determined by global climate patterns such as sunlight. local and seasonal effects also effect climates such as tides and mountain ranges. The nitrogen cycle, phosphorus cycle, and biochemical cycle also effects an ecosystem as it establishes a cycle in an ecosystem in order for plants and animals to get its nutrients and for everything to run smoothly. Cognition is the ability of an organism to store and process used information gathered by its sensory receptors.
